Cooking should be about scientific principles and basic techniques rather than recipes. If you know why our foods cook the way they do, you will be creating the recipe rather than following one. I want you to focus on why we cook foods the way we do rather than how to cook.

I catalogue this ‘Why’ on my Instagram feed and stories, where I de-bunk cooking myths (Example: Searing meat does not seal in juices. It does the opposite.) and how to use a basic understanding of science to make better food. I also take all images of my food on my feed (unless noted). My vision for food imagery: Food should feel both familiar and new.
